The day of days at Teahupoo as seen through a phantom camera. Chris Bryan and the Phantom Camera have produced some of the most circulated surf videos of 2010/2011 and this is bound to join those ranks.

It’s no small feat being able to handle a piece of equipment that size when the sea around you is erupting like it was on 27th August 2011, but some how Bryan pulls it off with incredible effect. Considering that this was a day when that if you stepped up to be towed in you had to know it could be the last thing you do (Nathan Fletcher thought he’d had it after stacking it right in the vortex of one of the largest waves of the session), this footage makes the wave look serene – deadly but serene.
